Frequently Asked Questions

  • This article talks about the differences between telehealth and in-person therapy.

  • My current fee is $165 for a 45 minute therapy session. Therapy can be done 2x week, weekly, 2x a month, or monthly based on your individual needs. I generally recommend starting clients out at weekly therapy sessions. Consistency is important for therapy to be effective. Generally, clients are in therapy for a couple of months to a couple of years, depending on their individual needs.

  • Unfortunately, I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I can provide a Statement for Insurance Reimbursement (Superbill) upon request. It is your responsibility to submit the Superbill to your insurance and reimbursement is dependent on your specific health coverages. Please check with your insurance company for more information.

  • Having a therapist that feels like the right fit can actually make your therapy services more effective. I offer a free 10 minute consultation call to start to assess if we would work well together. I will periodically check in with you on how you feel like therapy is going. If we determine that you and I are not the right fit, I will do my best to provide you with appropriate referrals.

  • In order to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you are expected to notify your therapist at least 72 hrs in advance of your appointment. If you do not provide adequate notice and the session cannot be scheduled at a different time during the same week of the session, you are responsible for payment for the missed session. If you need to cancel or reschedule a session within 72 hours before a session is scheduled, you will be responsible for the fee for the late cancellation. In the event of a missed session or a late cancellation, the card on file will be charged for the incurred balance. Half of your fee will be charged for the first late cancellation as a reminder of this policy; subsequent late cancellations or missed sessions will incur a full charge.

  • Currently I only see clients 18 years and older.

  • Unfortunately, due to licensing restrictions, I can only see clients who reside in the state of California.

  • I offer both traditional therapy and Christian therapy. Christian therapy looks different than traditional therapy because I will utilize Christian resources such as scripture from the Bible and prayer. Otherwise, the psychotherapy process is the same.

  • I utilize a blend of therapeutic modalities including experiential therapy, Satir therapy, attachment therapy, EMDR therapy, and Gestalt therapy. I believe meaningful change occurs when clients shift from maladaptive or underdeveloped memory networks—often identified by unhealthy patterns, attachment wounds, or trauma—to adaptive memory networks. These adaptive networks are marked by improved self-esteem, healthier decision-making, greater personal responsibility, and congruence. This transformation is facilitated within a therapeutic relationship where the client feels deeply known, accepted, and understood.
